Full Itinerary

Day 1 – Melbourne to Port Campbell

Our journey will start with a drive through western Victoria’s ancient lava fields before reaching Warrnambool, a nice seaside town. Visiting Tower Hill, which is Australia’s most recent dormant volcano teeming with creatures, would be a great start and an unforgettable experience. There, you’ll have a guided tour by Worn Gundidj, which will introduce various details about Aboriginal heritage and ways of life and give you chances to meet some iconic animals closely. On our way back to Adelaide, going via The Australian Shipwreck Coast, including such highlights as the Bay of Islands, The Grotto, London Bridge, etc, we will reach our next destination – Port Campbell! After dinner in the Sow & Piglets Brewery, you may take some locally produced beer and go on our last stop for the first day – an amazing sunset on the 12 Apostles!

Day 2 – Port Campbell to Melbourne

This second day starts by going down to the famous beach of Loch Ard Gorge before the arrival of tourists, which offers us an unusual opportunity to look at this famous site from another perspective. We then walk along part of the Great Ocean Walk and go down to Gibson Steps, which are on the beach level, right before we can enter Otway Rainforest. Finally, you will be amazed by the high Redwoods of Otways. Onwards, we continue our journey on the coastal road that stretches through Apollo Bay, Lorne, etc., giving us a chance to experience Australian beach life. And one more thing is that we can have a treat from Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice-Creamery as well as see one of Australia’s most famous surf beaches during our road trip. We reach Melbourne at about 7:00 pm.
